Walk Details:
A circular walk visiting points of interest from the book "Lorna Doone" including the church at Oare, along Badgworthy Water, Malmsmead & the East Lyn river. The walk then climbs to Countisbury & The Foreland before retuning via the Coast Path. The walk is mostly along paths. It can be muddy in places & it is generally a hilly route.. There are a couple of long steep climbs

The C&D group were joined by members from the Essex and Herts group. 21 took part on this 14 (15.3*) mile option. 20 taking part on a 20 mile walk. after 6 miles 4 walkers went back to the start point which was then 1/2 mile away and completed their walk. At the Blue Ball Inn at Lynmouth 2 more arranged a lift back to County Gate - the start of the walk. 15 completed the walk. *It was changed to a 15.5 mile walk after the final recce, when a large tree blocking an enclosed path was found.Other Files
