General Notes
*Pre booking essential - at least 24 hrs before please*. This walk will be Day 2 of Cornwall & Devon's August Bank Holiday "Dartmoor Tors & Moors Special". The walk begins at Belstone village & follows the River Taw before climbing onto open moor to ascend Cosdon Hill & South Tawton Common. There is open moorland & a river crossing (no bridge). This walk takes in Dartmoor's very best: open & rugged landscapes, cascading rivers, & quaint villages. Please let us know if you are travelling by public transport to Okehampton, & we will arrange transport from Okehampton station to & from Belstone. Please let us know if you would like to join us afterwards for a meal at the Burger Shed of The Tor Inn (booking reqd). Please bring waterproof gear as there is a long stretch of open moorland. Bring a picnic lunch. Dogs welcome on a lead
