Assemble for an 08:30 early start from the car park at Bessom Cross, at the north end of Wimbleball Lake
26 mi circular walk through the Brendon Hills. Taking in Wimbleball Lake & Clatworthy Reservoir. Walking along quiet country lanes, bridleways, footpaths, woodland tracks and parts of the old West Somerset Mineral railway.
About 5000 ft of elevation in total
General Notes
Dogs not allowed (local retrictions). Walking will be at 2.5 to 3 mph. We will be walking in August in Somerset, so you might need plenty of sunscreen, or your wet weather gear, or both! Bring plenty of food and drink. Optional drink after at Raleigh's cross
