A challenge event through the undulating countryside of North Norfolk. The event format is simple. Checkpoint facilities are minimal, but plenty of food & hot/cold drinks provided. There will be 5 checkpoints, one with hot food & hot food at the finish. Approximately half the event will be in darkness. This is a winter event so be prepared for the weather to be inclement. Previous experience of night navigation will be advantageous. Please be aware this event requires a good level of fitness & stamina . The Winter Poppy is a good training event & also a qualifying event for the Speyside 100

General Notes
Note new venue -Sheringham High School..Hall opens at 07.00 for registration for Walkers/slow runners starting at 07.30. 08.30 registration for runners for a 09.00 start. Please do not turn up earlier than 30 minutes before your planned start time. When choosing a start time please take into account the opening /closing times of checkpoints. Anyone arriving outside those times will have to wait (if early), or will be retired from the event (if late). Checkpoint open & closing times will be strictly adhered to. Everyone should have completed the event by 06.00 on the Sunday 11th. Showers will be available at the finish. Quiet hall will be available for those wishing to have a sleep before heading home.
