Ship Lane c.p (off Broad Street), Ely, CB7 4BB Expl map 226

On leaving the carpark we head south along the riverside path, then pick up Fen Rivers Way path towards Little Thetford, and then Witchford. We then north using byways and quiet roads to Wardy Hill which is likely to be the lunch stop. After lunch the route turns generally east to pass Downham Hythe before picking up Hereward Way back into Ely.

The terrain is varied throughout with limited undulation. Routes are generally good but there is some unavoidable quiet road walking.

Throughout the walk we see Ely Cathedral in the distance, at varying angles, and pass right next to it at the finish

General Notes
Carpark has no charge on a Sunday. Toilets are available at the start/finish. There is limited opportunity to buy food & drink after we have started the walk. Dogs welcome but must be on a lead where required
