Route

From Pengwern Boat Club, Kingsland, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 7BD. Parking at Frankwell Car Park (GR SJ490129)

A surprisingly flat and – for those so inclined – very runnable circular route. Starting in the heart of Shrewsbury, the course follows the banks of the river Severn towards Montford Bridge before looping back round to return over Lyth Hill

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
