1. Minutes 2018 read and approved.

Matters arising – To maintain our commitment to the environment all events will be ‘own mug only’.

2. Chair's report

Jenny reported on a year of successful walks and some great personal achievements by members, including Phil Clarke’s unsuccessful Spine challenge. Jenny thanked Ian for his excellent work on our Twitter Account.

3. Treasurers report :

Roger's reportt was read and accepted. Total assets as of December 2018 were £17,188 A full accounts report is available.

Roger informed us that the Britannia Account had switched to a Lloyds Account.

Roger announced his planned retirement and offered to work in tandem with the new officer for twelve months.

4. Secretary's report

Our website and email address can no longer function after Brexit as we have a .eu suffix.

Geoff reported that all news and events would appear on the National Site, wjhile maintaining our facebook and twitter feed for informal chat. A new email address would be created.

We have had a request from the Essex and Herts group to help with a social walk when they visit Church Stretton on 4th November. It was agreed that Neil and Geoff would liaise with the group.

5. 2018 SSC

Jane reported on another successful events with only the village hall was excellent and we may return again. The route was difficult with some very slow back markers.

6. 2017 Tour de Marches

Phil reported on another successful event . Profits would use for improved safety at Kempton and two new gates.

7. 2018 Winter Wonderland

Roger reported that the event had maintained its ‘low key and not over officiated style.

Frank bought tea and biscuits? There had been some re-routing around the wood yard.

8. Elections

Jenny, and Geoff agreed to remain in post. Roger is to retire 2020 and Paul was elected as deputy treasure to shadow Roger for the interim period. There were no other candidates.

9. 2019 /2020 Events

Jane and Neil announced a round Minsterley route for our Leap Day SSC..

Janet proposed the use of Trefonnen for our Xmas Walk as our more traditional South Shropshire routes would impinge on the SSC.

It was noted that Tour de Marches entries were already open.

Janet kept us up to date on the new Corvedale Cake walk on April 25th, starting from Holdgate Church and featuring large quantities of WI goodies.

10. AOB

Janet proposed a donation of £200 to Eaton Church which was approved..

Colin suggested that any left over cakes could be donated to needy families/causes.

The group was asked to to consider holding a WOW in Olympic Year 2020.
