2. Chair's report

Jenny reported on another year of successful walks awith the introduction of ther hugely tasty and successful ‘Cakewalk’ Jenny thanked Ian for his excellent work on our Twitter Account.

Neil expressed a concern that the group was becoming overly reliant on the use of social media as a means of communication

3. Treasurers report :

In his absence Roger’s last report was accepted. A surplus of £8813 over the period January to December 2019was recorded. The meeting expressed their great gratitude to Roger for the dedication he had shown during his period of office. The strong financial position that the group is in is a testimony to his providence.

4. Secretary's report

The process of restructuring our online presence is complete. All official walk and administrative data is now on the main LDWA site. SI entries are our chosen platform for event entries. The Facebook group page and our new Twitter account provide a vehicle for informal messages.

5. 2020 SSC

Jane was unable to attend but Neil reported that all was well with preparations for Minsterley.

6. 2019 Tour de Marches

Phil reported on another successful event .

7.  Christmas walk.Trefonnen had proved a warm and welcoming centre. The checkpoint at the Lime Kilns was particularly interesting with Neil, Janet , Geoff and Colin making good use of the log pile.

 A donation of £200 to Offa’s Dyke Heritage Centre was proposed.

8. Elections

Jenny, and Geoff agreed to remain in post.

Paul Breach confirmed his acceptance of the role as treasurer.

9 An interesting walk followed to the motte and bailey at Ryton Castle
