Firstly, minutes from the previous meeting and proposed agenda for this meeting were agreed.

GVC

LY confirmed 195 entrants so far.  Gordon to promote in the newsletter.  We’re not concerned/do expect a list min rush.  Approx £2,800 in/£1,500 out.  School has been paid, village hall has not been paid.  Might need South Manchester to help.  LY to finalise volunteers around mid-Sept.  MB explained t-shirts on hold due to the lengthy process.  Will look into High Peak t-shirts (rather than GVC) that can be used at any volunteer event.  General discussion re redesign/refresh of logo.

Walks Programme

SB explained x1 walk required for Jan, x2 for Feb and x2 for March.  Discussed again regular walkers not leading.  SB will present data from walks register at the AGM.

Limestone 50 no longer being pursued.  Shelley has mentioned on a walk the Heritage Way but this has already been done.  Are there any other local trails/paths/ways?
First Aid/bivy - what do we expect leaders to carry?  Noted many walk leaders and committee members carry equipment, and  Agreed to encourage walk leaders to carry First Aid and survival bags. LY and BB will look at costings for supplies and see if these can be shared between leaders.  Logistics/handovers might be tricky though.

50th Anniversary Weekend

BB - everyone who has said they’re staying/attending has booked into the YHA.  LY to finalise walks - x2 for Sat (16-20ml) x1 for Sun (8ml).   LW is happy to lead any.  Jerry is baking a cake.

Christmas

BB ran through Top 3; Bulls Head @ Monyash, Lounge Bar @ Matlock or White Lion @ Duffield.  Bulls Head @ Monyash was the favourite, BB to check availability.

“High Peak Hundred”

JB has spoken with Anne Wade - we’ll need help from other groups.  AH offered lots of good and valuable info - need a core group of 10/12 to deal with the main parts (x2 overall/deputy, x1 route planner, x1 logistics).  Plan route, then checkpoints, then catering.  DW happy to plan route but said he doesn’t have much local knowledge of the Peak District, LW offered to help.  JB to lead with AH’s help to get the ball rolling.  LY Treasure.  RT and BB look into logistics.  AH explained they had approx £2,800 in the bank and borrowed £3,000 from the NEC.  100 requires three years of planning.  AH flagged some checkpoints require a deposit.  MB suggested meeting via Teams during the winter, especially if meetings might be longer/save on travel time.  Meeting with Anne to be set up - JB

AGM

BB and LW happy to lead walk.  RT to contact The Boat @ Cromford in October to book.  Date agreed - 1st Feb.

Next committee meeting will be arranged after the GVC and when further 100 research has been carried out.
