Meet in National Trust c.p Corfe Castle. The route goes north to Wareham, one of the most fiercely fought after towns during the civil war. On returning to Corfe Castle there will be a guided tour of the castle, looking at its history with a particular concentration on its role during the civil war. Tour will be free for National Trust members, non-members can join just for the walk or join the tour after paying the standard day entry to the castle. The walk is also listed on the LDWA History Group Meetup page. It is happening on a Saturday the day before the Dorset Doddle & the start time is 0930 to allow for people who may be travelling to Dorset to do both walks
