Nine LDWA members turned up for the 16 mile walk from Great Asby, passing Rutter Force waterfall which after the dry summer had replenished itself.

Approaching Appleby, we took advantage of 11's on the high ground of 170m for the panoramic view of the North Pennines from Stainmore Pass to Melmerby Fell.

Along the river and fields to Sandford before returning to Great Asby.

A dry and sunny day.
