Potter Around the Otter 2025

POTTER AROUND THE OTTER

11th - 12th October 2025

This fabulous event combines sections of the South Devon coast path, with riverside paths and heathland including some ancient tracks and heritage sites. Generously spaced checkpoints and easy navigation make for a great event for both long distance veterans and those on their first 50 mile event.

The base is at Budleigh Salterton Town Hall EX9 6RN which provides good parking nearby.

This year, the 2024 route has been reversed and there have been a few more tweaks to it.

The Event starts by following the South West Coast Path eastwards, then heads inland on field paths, commons and woodland before joining up with the River Otter. This is then followed southwards towards the coast before turning and joining the East Devon Way to Woodbury Castle and the Exe Estuuary. From here the route follows the estuary and returns along the coast path to the finsh

There will be one route of 50 miles to be completed in 24 hours with entrants able to start at 9.00am, 11.00am or 1.00pm. Runners will be encouraged to start at a time suitable to their speed and ensuring that they don't reach the checkpoints before they open.
