A full route description and GPX file will be available for download from this page about ten days before the event. Please bring a copy of the route description as none will be provided on the day.

A sketch map will be available for download of a short intricate section through farm buildings which has caused a few navigational problems in the past!

MAPS: The whole route is covered by OS Landranger 1:50 000 number 190.  Most of the 24 and 30 mile routes are covered by OS Explorer 1:25 000 number 126.  Unfortunately about 6 miles of the  initial southern loop for ALL routes (6/24/30) is covered by OS Explorer 1:25 000 number 111

Entrants must be able to read a map and follow compass bearings and must have sufficient knowledge, experience, equipment and navigational skills to take part in this walk in all conditions and especially in the event of bad weather.

Although a summer walk, entrants should ensure they carry sufficient kit to undertake the challenge in the prevailing conditions on the day.

Kit to be carried as an absolute minimum should include: waterproofs, adequate footwear, change of clothing, hat, sunblock, map, compass, route description, emergency food, water bottle and MUG.

PLEASE BRING A MUG AS NONE WILL BE PROVIDED

There is no parking available at the Rugby Club for entrants.
There is parking adjacent to their practice pitch which is nearby. Instructions will be detailed in the final instructions and there will be Marshal's on the day directing car parking.
All this is necessary as we are sharing the facilities with the Caravanning Club.
