27th Sidmouth Saunter
The Sidmouth Saunter will be held on 23rd April 2023
Eight years since it was last held, the Cornwall and Devon branch of the Long Distance Walking Association is bringing the Sidmouth Saunter back on to the walking calendar. The Guides headquarters at Lawn Vista, Sidmouth has been booked for Sunday, 23rd April, 2023.
There will be two routes: one of 18 miles and a demanding 30-miler. Both routes start at 08:00 for walkers and 09:00 for runners.
Both walks will take place within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The terrain is varied and will pass through woodland, follow the river Otter (where you may see a beaver) and will work its way eastwards to take on the challenging East Devon cliffs.
Drinks and biscuits available before the start.
Food and cold drinks available at checkpoints along the way.
Pasty and hot and cold drinks available at the finish.
PLEASE BRING A MUG as none will be provided on the day.
