General Notes
Neil Midgley, from the Calderdale LDWA group, has kindly offered to hold a navigational course open to Calderdale & West Yorkshire group members. No previous skills necessary, in fact it is intended for those who feel they need more confidence in the aspects of navigation to be covered. This is traditional ‘map & compass’ navigation but a brief overview of technology now available will be mentioned. The cost is £10 per person to cover cost of venue hire, light refreshments, printing costs etc. Neil is taking no fee with any surplus going to LDWA funds

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
