New Challenge Event - 24 miles from Heath Rugby Club - MORE DETAILS WILL FOLLOW IN DUE COURSE,INCLUDING ROUTE DESCRIPTION, MAP AND GPX.

Calderdale LDWA want to enable walkers to share our beautiful and undulating area with you. 24 mile walk or run, refreshments at start, en route and meal at the finish. 

The route follows footpaths taking in woods, tracks, fields, and moorland, with a short stretch alongside the River Calder and canal. Midway indoor checkpoint at Ripponden, other checkpoints outdoors. Route description and gpx will be made available prior to the event.

8.30 am start, 10 hours to complete.

Certificate and badge for all finishers.

Starting and finishing at Heath Rugby Club near Halifax, free car parking on site.

To reduce waste and use of plastic, please bring your own mug for drinks.

Discounted entry is available to LDWA members. LDWA membership costs from just £15 per year Jan-Dec, but join from 01 October and enjoy membership for the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024.

Event entries open 1 January 2024. £13 LDWA members; £18 non-members. 

Any young person under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an Appropriate Adult, Parent or Guardian

Dogs are welcome with well-behaved & responsible owners, dogs must be always under full control, please note dogs may not be allowed in the Rugby club. Note also LDWA requirement (in event disclaimer conditions) regarding liability insurance for dogs.
