Honley Circular - 13th September 2025

11 walkers + 3 with four legs.

The route passed through woodland, fields and some canal towpath to reach Slaithwaite, returning via Merry Dale and a climb through moorland to Deer Hill Reservoir.  It then dropped to the outskirts of Meltham, and to Helme and back to Honley. A good day and a good walk, led by Jane Guest and supported by Roy Turner.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
