Dear Irregular,

I'm  passing on the following email at the request of our Chairman and, if you are able to help, please reply directly to Sandra.

'Hi there,

I'm Sandra Gordon, a postie from Aberdeenshire. I discovered the LDWA this year and became a member, as I'm setting off on a long trek through Scotland and England in May/June and into July. Not long now!

I'm leaving on 1st May to embark on a solo pilgrimage from Easter Aquhorthies Stone Circle in Aberdeenshire to Glastonbury Tor in Somerset. I've attached a wee piece* outlining the 'whys and wherefores'  of my journey.

As I will be passing through many a regional LDWA group, I was keen to make contact! I've not walked any of these routes before, so am looking to tap into any local knowledge you may have. If any of your members live nearby and are free, I would love for them to join me for a section of the route.

You'll find the whole route attached below.*

Please let me know if you can help with local knowledge (including any cheap accommodation), are able to walk a little with me.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
