'I have at last received a receipt from Whitworth Cancer Research for £517 for the donations. I know some people sent donations direct to Cancer Research UK. Many thanks to those who did. This year's target for the Whitworth local committee is £22,207 to buy an Amersham Western blot imaging system for use by Prof Martin Humphries and his team who are researching how pancreatic cancer cells develop and hopefully finding new treatment options. Thank you to all who donated.'
