I have been in discussion with Wayne who is leading the above walk on Saturday regarding weather reports.
It would appear if the weather forecasters are correct,we could get a glut of snow falling in the Taddington area of the Peak District over the next couple of days.
Enquiries will be made on Friday as to whether the A6 to Buxton is accessible as the start point is a lay-by near Topley Pike Quarry on a steep hill.Also if there is a shed full of snow down then walking off road on footpaths and bridleway may be difficult.
It’s going to be a full days walking so rather than cancel now it’s been agreed with Wayne that a decision on whether the walk is going ahead will be emailed out to you all on Friday 10/3/23 after 1400 hours.
