Hi,

message below from Raj.

February 23  “Mud sticks again”

It is possible to park on both sides of the road at SK2581 7788 (layby) just below the Grouse Inn. There is a NT car park at SK 2555 7773 signposted NT Haywood for those who are members of NT or choose to use it.

For safety reasons, the start of the walk will be from outside the Grouse Inn.

Lunch will be at the Crispin at Great Longstone (the White Lion is closed) and I shall take orders for the usual fare at the morning break.

Raj

As an addendum.

Several places up the A6 from Derby have road closures due to flooding.

They may be released before Wednesday provided we don’t have any major rainfall in the  interim period.

Therefore for those of you attending from South of Hathersage can you check that your proposed route will be clear. An alternative is to access the north of Peak District via M1 J29 to Chesterfield and onto Owler Bar.

At this time there are no road closures on this route from internet checks I have done.

Those coming from the North please check that  you are alright coming in via Sheffield as I have no information  re any flooding issues they may have in South Yorkshire.

Cheers
