The Bill Peach Dorset Doddle 2021

Sunday 22 August 2021. Event Cancelled

The 2021 Dorset Doddle has been renamed in memory of Bill Peach who sadly passed away in June 2020. Bill organized every Doddle from at least 2014 onwards and was hugely supportive and generous with his time for the Dorset group. The surplus generated by the event will be donated to Bill's nominated charity, Cancer Research UK, with the Dorset group topping this up to £500 if necessary.

The Dorset Doddle consists simply of the coastal path from Weymouth to Swanage. Anyone expecting a gentle stroll along the cliffs will be in for a shock, but the route has stunning views and is a true classic. The distance is about 32 miles, passing over some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in England, but including some tough climbs on the way.

We lay on coaches from Swanage to Weymouth on the morning of the event.

Due to continuing uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic, the particular difficulties with linear events and the time required to safely plan and organize the committee has decided to cancel this years event. We intend to run it again in 2022.
