General Notes
Route via Blandford Royal Signals Camp to the church at Tarrant Monkton, during the coffee stop look out for the grave markers of four 1st World War German POWs. Then to the former Tarrant Rushton airfield, where airborne forces took off from to capture Pegasus Bridge on D-Day, & lunch stop at Tarrant Keynston (possible chance for a quick drink at the "True Lover's Knot"). Next to St Mary's church Tarrant Crawford with its "ghostly" 14th Century paintings & burial site of Joan of Scotland, sister of Henry III. Next is the small ancient hill fort of Spetisbury Rings before heading back to Blandford
