On behalf of the Committee I would like to say a massive thank you for your support and hard work in the delivering another successful event. The Dorset Giant has been in the planning for over six months and right up to the last minute we had to make changes to overcome problems. I know how much work goes on, often unseen by the entrants but you can see from the feedback below that your support is very much appreciated.

Unlike the marshals' event the main event was graced with lovely weather, 196 started with 178 managing to complete the route. The quickest time was 10:03 and the last person in recorded a time of 22:43.

Thank you

I just wanted to send you a brief email to say many, many thanks to you and team Dorset for such a wonderful event, the Dorset Giant.
I couldn’t have wished for a better time. There was absolutely nothing that I would have changed about the day; the start time advice grid was very useful, a clear sign that every detail had been thought through, the route was superb, as were the route directions and GPX. The distance between CPs worked well, and, of course, the amazing food and a warm welcome by the CP teams.
I personally appreciate the time it takes for volunteers to bake and cook, rather than relying solely on buying the cheapest shop bought goods etc. I know it’s convenient and good for the budget, but never the same as homemade nourishment.
I am now just sad that I had only just joined the LDWA when you ran your Hundred event. I am sure I would have enjoyed it too. Perhaps I will find the route and walk it out over a few days when I have the time.
Please pass on my gratitude to all the marshals, well done and I look forward to seeing you soon on the next LDWA event.

Thank you for an excellent, well organised event. The route was well chosen, with superb scenery; all the volunteers were welcoming and cheerful; the refreshments were plentiful and varied; and the weather ideal.  Well done!
A big Thank You to the Marshalls walk for taking all the inclement weather away from the main event.

Just a few words to thank everyone involved in organising the Dorset Giant.
It was a fantastic day/night out; a wonderfully scenic route; a comprehensive and accurate route description which meant minimal use of the GPX and marvellous refreshments and support at all of the checkpoints. Particular thanks to those who took part in the Marshals’ Walk; they must have absorbed all of the bad weather to make sure that we had perfect weather conditions for the ‘main event’. Please pass on my thanks and if I have missed anybody/group out, please include them too.
If possible, I will be back in 2022!

Probably spoke to you yesterday at the walk and did not realise. I would just like to say what a great event yourself and the rest of the team involved put on. Feel really good today - all set for The Hadrian Hundred.

A personal thank you for a magnificently run and well supported event. The Dorset Giant was a tough day out but the support from all the crew at CP's was above and beyond.

Really well organised and marshalled, loved it. Food was all fab but if I had to declare my favourites, the two types of cheese and marmite pinwheel were outstanding with the bread and butter cake a close second. Thanks to everyone who made it happen
