Please see the message below from Anne Brown asking for leaders to lead walks in the months August - December 2018. Please do think about it, especially if you haven't led a walk before. Please reply to Anne at dorset.ldwa.walks@gmail.com Please do not reply directly to this email as it is from an unmonitored email account used for outgoing messages only.

Dear All,

We have had a very successful, if rather soggy-muddy Spring and my thanks go to everyone who has led a walk. We have lots of exciting walks on the programme through the Summer, but now need to start compiling a programme for the Autumn, to go in Strider.

Following the largely successful use of Doodle Calendar for booking dates I have prepared a new version for Aug – Dec 2018:

1. Firstly, open the Doodle calendar: https://doodle.com/poll/rhbp6d98imwn9czv
2. Where it says ‘x participants +’ click on the ‘+’ to create a new line
3. Insert your first name and initial
4. Check the ‘Popular Challenge’ line for clashes which may mean you get fewer participants
5. Check the ‘Dorset LDWA Event’ line and avoid these dates
6. Choose a date
7. In the ‘Comments’ section at the bottom, put the actual date (if it is not a Sun) and approximate location. Try to avoid similar locations in quick succession.

If you would rather just send me the information, please send it to me at the address below and I will put it on the calendar for you. About the second week in May I will be asking you to send full details to go into Strider in time for the deadline of 22nd May. Please send full details and any updates for walks already on the programme to me: dorset.ldwa.walks@gmail.com AND Martin C: dorset.ldwa.secretary@gmail.com
The same applies to Re-tired walks too.

So if you haven’t led a walk this year, this is your chance, and if you have led one, then why not lead another! Finally, if you haven’t led a walk before and would like some support, please get in touch and we can help you to develop your skills.

Many thanks,

Anne (Brown)
