Dear All,

Thank you to those people who have signed up for a date to lead a walk between April and August but I need more volunteers please, particularly in June / July.

It’s easy to reserve your date:
1. Firstly, open the Doodle Calendar:  https://doodle.com/poll/wr2m9est86gnq4sc
2. Create a new line by inserting your first name
3. Choose a weekend for your walk
4. In the Comments section put the actual date of the walk (if not a Sun), and the approximate location
You can check dates you may wish to avoid by looking for a tick in the ‘Popular Challenge’ and ‘Public Holiday’ rows (this includes Bank Holidays and Mothering Sunday etc). Do not clash with Dorset Challenges!
You can also see where other walks are planned by scrolling down to the ‘Comments’ section. We ideally need a varied spread around the County.

In addition, by 16th Jan I need full details of the walk to go into Strider in time for the deadline:
1. Date
2. Title
3. Distance
4. Start time
5. Start / Finish point and grid reference
6. Any notes
7. Contact details

Please send full details and any updates for walks already on the programme to me: dorset.ldwa.walks@gmail.com AND Martin: dorset.ldwa.secretary@gmail.com
The same applies to Re-tired walks too. So please spend some time during these damp dark days planning a lovely Spring / Summer walk.

Finally, if anyone feels they need help / support to lead a walk, please do get in touch so we can  help you develop this rewarding skill.

Happy New Year,

Anne (Brown)
