Thanks for offering to help at the Dorset group checkpoint on the Cinque Ports (i.e. Kent!) 100. Although some of you have had this information about our checkpoint in May next year, there are some recent volunteers and some who did not receive it, so here it is:
Our checkpoint will be at Capel Le Ferne (church hall), near Folkestone, at 66 miles. The opening times will be from 0020 on Sunday 26 May 2018 to close at 1540, but obviously we will need to be there for a 2 hours at the very least on either side of that. We will need a rota. (We currently have 16 volunteers). I will be in touch nearer the time with more detail (if I'm still the Secretary!) and nearer the time I will be asking for your preferences re times.
On another aspect if you intend to enter the marshals' event, as I do, please do note the event details in Strider specify only postal entries, and on first come first served basis. I have discussions with some of you about this and will be writing to the Cinque Ports organisers. We will need to be quick off the mark.
