Dorset LDWA

The Dorset LDWA Group constitution requires that I give all primary members of the Group formal notice of the Annual General Meeting not less than six weeks before the AGM.

Notification of meeting

The AGM  will be held at the Corn Exchange in Wareham, grid ref SY 923 873, at 3pm on Sunday 27 November 2016. (The same venue and arrangements as in the last  few years).  Only primary members of the Group can normally attend the AGM. If you want to bring someone with you whose primary membership is a different LDWA Group or who is not a LDWA member, please let me know in advance. For those who are attending the AGM only, lunch will be available in the Red Lion (opposite the Corn Exchange). The Group will pay for your lunch (but not drinks!), if you are a primary member of the Dorset Group and only if you are attending the AGM. Further details and a menu (for you to notify your choices in advance) will be sent out shortly.

Nominations for Officers and Committee Members

Please send me nominations for Officers and ordinary Committee members, which must be received by me at dorset.ldwa.secretary@gmail.com no later than four weeks before the AGM, i.e. by Sunday 30 October. Nominations are very much welcome for any of the positions or to stand as an ordinary member of the Committee. The Officers are Chair, Group Secretary, Treasurer, Walks Secretary, Events Secretary. Nominations should have a proposer and seconder (and the agreement of the person nominated!) If you want to know what's involved with any of the positions, I am happy to talk it through with you. For your information, the existing Officers and ordinary Committee members are willing to stand again, with the exception of Colin Utting and Richard Brown, who are standing down from their positions and also from the committee.

Motions

Motions for consideration at the AGM must also come to me at dorset.ldwa.secretary@gmail.com no later than four weeks before the AGM, i.e. by Sunday 30 October. All motions should have a proposer and seconder.

I will be sending out the agenda and final arrangements, including details of the group walk in the morning and the final lunch details, by Sunday 13 November.

Please do not reply directly to this email as it is from an unmonitored email account used for outgoing messages only.
