This email is information for members of the group (Dorset LDWA) who intend to book holidays at a youth hostel(YHA) or if you book a Ramblers' Holidays holiday. These two are unrelated but in one email for convenience.

1. YHA - Affiliate Group Membership

Dorset LDWA is now an Affiliate Group member (this was free of charge) of the YHA. This means we get various discounts for a holiday for group members (when travelling as a group of five or more). If you wish to book such a holiday for group members, if it includes staying at a youth hostel, please contact me for the membership details. Furthermore individual members of Dorset LDWA (whether or not they are individually members of YHA) are entitled to a 15% discount on individual bookings with YHA-owned properties. Please let me know if you intend to book independently with YHA and I will give you the relevant code to claim this discount to be used when making bookings on the YHA website.

2. Ramblers' Holidays

A reminder that Dorset LDWA is signed up for the Walking Partnership scheme of Ramblers' Holidays - for details see https://www.ramblersholidays.co.uk/page/thewalkingpartnership If you book a holiday with Ramblers' Holidays, mention the scheme and say that you wish to nominate Dorset LDWA under the scheme. The group will get a donation to group funds (e.g. £20 for a holiday in Europe).
