Please see the message below from Sandra & Richard about the group walk on Sunday 7 February. Please contact them direct (contact details in Strider) if you have any questions.

Group Secretary
----------

Because the last social walk by Mike Scanlon went through much the same water as we were planning to visit, we have changed our route to minimise the overlap. There will now, we fear, be no wading knee high through the Piddle and Frome, and little of the 100 route. But we do promise mud, sweat and tears and, as a special treat, a Slurry Lagoon. There will be a bit more road walking [on minor roads] than is usual on group walks.

There may be an opportunity to call at a village shop and pub at lunchtime, but please bring food and drink in any case.

The total distance remains at around 18 miles and we will start as advertised at Moreton GR SY804892, where there is parking alongside the cemetery [where T E Lawrence is buried] and in the village.

Hopefully we will be back in time for tea and a scone (well, maybe they will sell us one to share, for those who recall our last group visit!)

We look forward to seeing you at Moreton.
