Just a few points about this walk to add to what's in Strider.
For those who haven't been there before, the Fontmell Magna village hall is at farthest western edge of the village. You pass a school on the left and continue ahead untill the houses end with the village hall on the left. Please car share if possible as the car park isn't very large. The loos in the hall will be available at the start and finish. A reminder - I will require £1 from each driver.
The morning break will be at Shillingstone Station where there are loos and a cafe. The lunch break may, I stress may, be at Stourpaine church and there is a pub not too far away on the main road but I will not stop long so please bring a packed lunch as usual.
It may be slightly longer than 18 miles and I will be visiting all the steep hills in the area. A torch will probably not be necessary but it is always a good idea to carry one at this time of year.
