The Dorset LDWA Group will be running this event again after a break of two years.
Entries are coming in, some people have already come forward to offer to help on the day but more helpers are needed. If you can assist please email traceylang@lineone.net.
Any member helping is encouraged to claim 25p per mile for using their vehicle from home for the day to undertake their role.
We are looking for:
Sweepers for the sections from the start in Cerne Abbas, also additional sweepers to cover the extra miles for the 30 route
Car parking marshals for Cerne Abbas from 6.30am, we have use of the doctors' surgery and nearby field. Pete C and his son are running this team.
Cerne Abbas - setting up starts from 6.30am, checking in and dealing with entrants’ queries.
Help at Lyscombe Chapel checkpoint, John and Sue Widdowson are in charge.
Help at Buckland Newton checkpoints, Deirdre is in charge.
Manning of Mintere Magna clip point.
Help at Sydling St Nicholas checkpoint, Pat with Sue B is in charge.
A meal will be served at the end in Cerne Abbas village hall. The catering team will cook and serve food to those finishing (or retiring from) the event. Also clearing the hall at the end. Hilary and Heather are running this team.
Helpers also needed to assist Ian for the Marshals’ event on 5 March 2023.

The Cerne Giant 2023 marshals’ event is on Sunday 5 March 2023, all volunteers are invited to enter this 20/30 mile event, which Ian is organising.
