The Dorset Group needs a secretary!

Dear Dorset Group Member,

Hopefully, you will all have seen my email dated 3 Oct on this subject, when I provided a brief outline of the role, and the call for nominations and motions on 17 Oct, when I highlighted the lack of response. Sadly, I have still had no response!

Please be clear, the group cannot continue to exist without a secretary.

I am happy to provide help and mentoring for anyone willing to take on this role. If you are concerned about the time commitment, which really isn't that onerous, perhaps you could consider getting together with someone else to do a job share. Although our constitution stipulates four years, as the maximum time period anyone should be in post, you don't have to commit to that - even a year would be very helpful. Remember, as with all roles on the committee, this is a voluntary position and you can stand down at any time. If you have any questions, or matters you would like to discuss, I am happy to have a confidential chat with you and I promise I will not put you under any pressure. Please think carefully about whether you could help your group in this way.

If a new Group Secretary cannot be found a procedure to dissolve the group, as set out in our constitution, will need to take place and that would be very sad for us all.
