This is early notice of the Dorset Group Trip Away to be held Friday 17 February 2023 to Monday 21 February 2023. All are welcome to join for the whole or any part of the weekend.
This is a relaxed program of pilgrimage walks with plenty of time to visit both Wells and Glastonbury. The intention is that walkers will book their own accommodation in Wells, e.g Premier Inn, pubs, cottages and apartments. There are many eateries to suit all tastes.
The outline plan is:
Friday 17 February 2023 - 7 miles circular walk to Croscombe
Saturday 18 February 2023 - Catch bus to Cheddar and walk back to Wells via the Mendip way, approximately 12 miles.
Sunday 19 February 2023 – Walk to Glastonbury, 12 miles plus short 2 miles extension. Catch bus back to Wells.
Monday 20 February 2023 – Return home.
