“Hills Around Halstock” is on Sun 28th August and starts from Evershot 
(see https://ldwa.org.uk/Dorset/E/0/future-events.html for details).

It will be 20 miles with 2300 feet of ascent, so is quite hilly and has superb views of Dorset
and Somerset. There are quite a few stiles of various styles. The route has been essentially 
cleared of brambles and nettles, but long trousers might be advisable because there is still 
some undergrowth. There are sheep and a short section of main road, so please be prepared to 
put dogs on a lead. There are no shops on the route so bring food and plenty of drink.
