On behalf of the Committee I would like to say a massive 'thank you' to everyone who worked so hard to make the day such a success. This event couldn't run without a myriad of willing volunteers, from the coach loaders who started at 7am, registration, the marshals at checkpoints and clipper points and the catering team who made the finishers so welcome and fed and watered them and didn't get away until after 10pm. There were many kind comments and thanks on the day and listed below are some of the social media posts and emails.
We look forward to 2023 when we plan on running two challenge events, the Cerne Giant in the spring and the Dorset Doddle again in the summer. Why not put your name forward to volunteer at one of these events? It's a great way to get to know people and to feel you are giving something back to your local group and to the LDWA.

Very tough, yes, but each time I do the eastern Dorset coast the scenery becomes more astonishing to me. ---------- Fabulous day of pain & suffering! (& laughing and fun) Thanks everyone for organising such a brilliant event (I’ve done it before but I’m sure the hills were steeper yesterday!) ---------- Fabulous day. Thank you (I think!) to everyone involved in putting it on. The CP marshals were all so lovely & welcoming, motivational & supportive, although some told a few porkies about what lay ahead!!! Thank you all. X ---------- Adding my own thanks to the organisers, volunteers and comrades in pain. By far my toughest event since before COVID, so I was delighted to finish in one piece and still have enough left in tired legs to be sitting here now on the bench where the marshals were doing the last checkpoint yesterday. Thanks again to them and everyone else who makes this marvellous event happen. ---------- Another good day out - found it particularly tough this year due to humidity but always glad to finish. ---------- Thank you Dorset LDWA - we had a great time. Surprised that during Covid you didn’t flatten some of those hills or install chairlifts ---------- I really enjoyed myself and the welcome and support was as perfect as ever. The meal at the end was excellent and service was outstanding. ---------- Many thanks to you and your helpers for another excellent Dorset Doddle ----------
