Practical Information

Here is some practical information to help you when reconnoitring the EBB 100 route, and to assist your supporters.

This information is also available to download. Select from the links below:
Paginated format - each route section starts on a new page (28 pages)
Continuous format (20 pages)

Notes: The most reasonable parking options are those suggested, ie ‘proper’ car parks, pubs or large lay-bys, both on or close to the EBB100 route.
Each section has a number of parking options allowing you to park at the nearest part of that particular section to home or where you are staying for recceing purposes or for supporters on event day thus reducing driving time, fuel costs and exhaust emissions.
Some car parks have charges and are ‘Pay and Display’. Most pub parking is free. It is only fair to patronise pubs and support their efforts. Please buy food/drink before or after your walk.
There are several locations where it is possible to park on road verges or residential streets. When parking on residential streets please abide by any restrictions, especially Mondays to Saturdays. Look for notices. Normally, there are no restrictions on Sundays.
Always park considerately, especially on road/lane verges: do not block gates, entrances or exits. Leave sufficient space for large vehicles (lorries, tractors) to pass.

For a complete guide to parking options, including car park charges, post codes and map references refer to the downloadable Car Parking pdf document.

Where no directions are given, the place lies directly on the route.

In listing bus destinations, “X and Y” means X and Y are served by the same bus. “X/Y” means they are served by the same route number but in opposite directions from the stop in question.
