The first of our venture to complete the 116 Wainwright Outlying Fells. This walk will take in Whiteside Pike, Todd Fell, Capplebarrow, Long Crag, White Howe, Lamb Pasture and three of the nameless summits. This lofty skyline forms a horseshoe, consistently above 1500 feet for five miles and provides a good high level walk all around the valley, being bounded on the outside, west by Long Sleddale and east by Borrowdale so that the traverse overlooks three parallel valleys

General Notes
A Marauders Walk. The Plough Inn is on the A6 between Kendal and Shap. It is possibe to meet at the Tickle Trout parking area (M6 junction 31) and share onward transport - leaving at 7.45 am
