Starting from the South side of bridge), we cross the beautiful 17th century stone bridge that spans the Tyne at Corbridge & gently climb east towards Newton Hall. From there the route passes through Old Nafferton, skirts the side of Whittle Dene, & on to Ovington. Leaving the village we descend through fields to eventually reunite with the Tyne at Bywell Bridge, & Stocksfield beyond. From Stocksfield the route loosely follows the River Tyne Trail to Riding Mill & climbs to the elevated crossroads at Prospect Hill. The last few miles along mainly quiet lanes, takes us back to Corbridge
