Cheviot 2000's

Involving visiting six summits over 2.000 feet in the Cheviot Hills of Northumberland. 25 miles, 6,500 feet of ascent and mostly over very difficult terrain. It is a significant physical challenge and requires careful navigational skills. There is an option of 35 miles if the walk is started and finished in Wooler. 

This walk was developed by members of the Tyne Tees Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association back in the 1980's. In July and August 2025 the route has been walked several times by members of Northumbria LDWA with the purpose of updating and improving the Route Description and the GPX files.
