From Mungrisdale start walking along bottom of Blencatha before ascending via Halls Fell Ridge (some scrambling involved 100m from summit - Grade 1) Lunch at Blencathra summit (weather permitting) then back via Bannerdale Crags & the Tongue to Mungrisdale

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
