Meet at Wolsingham Bridge.
Park either in village, considerately or in Demesne car park (GR 072372; Postcode DL13 3DG) - small charge
Note: Wolsingam Bridge is closed to vehicles, open for pedestrians
Head E, along river, then through Black Bank Plantation to High Shipley. Across to Bedburn,through caravan site & follow path into Hamsterley Forest for 1st break of the day (7mls). There is toilets, picnic tables & a cafe. Continue through forest to Frog wood,S to Potato Hill & over Hamsterley common, overlooking Pikestone Fell. 2nd break at the meeting of the Grains (13mls) then head up to the famous Elephant trees & back to the car
