Circular 24 mile walk led by Annette Pantall. The route starts from Greenhaugh c.p NY795873, opposite the Holly Bush pub. The c.p is small so please car share where possible. We follow the Tarset bastle trail to Black Middens bastle & then go along the Border County Ride & forestry roads, skirting Kielder forest to meet the Pennine Way. We follow the Pennine Way until Bellingham & then return to Greenhaugh via Tyne Trail & country lanes.

General Notes
The terrain is mixed & parts of the Pennine Way are steep & wet. Approximately 2400ft of ascent. Tea on the Train at Bellingham if we arrive before 4pm or First & Last Taproom. Drinks at Holly Bush

Walk Report

11 walkers joined the walk led by Annette Pantall. variable weather -some sun but mainly grey cloud and heavy rain. Plenty of midges in Kielder forest! Pennine Way still quiet boggy. The Pennine way from just south of Hareshaw House to just North of Hareshaw Linn is further west than indicated on 2025 OS map.
