Parking is in the free c.p opposite the former Newburn Leisure Centre on Grange Road Newburn NE15 8ND. OS grid ref: NZ160656. What3Words: swing.lodge.drums

A circular walk from Newburn on Tyne, a modest distance of 17.5 miles starting at 9.00am
The route is to out to Ponteland via Black Callerton, around the back of Darras Hall following the River Pont upstream to Dissington Bridge then Medburn/South Dissington/Houghton down to the Tyne valley /Stephenson's Cottage & the rivers edge path back to Newburn.
Drinks afterwards at The Keelman Pub a few short yards away.

General Notes
Good paths across farmland & bridleways but will be "sticky underfoot in places" if wet. Ascent 1181ft Descent 1135ft so fairly easy going
