(Park at the Haltwhistle swimming pool NE49 9DW, NY702642.
Follow the Haltwhistle burn path & then Hadrian's path until Greenhead. Then a track that meets the Pennine way until Lambley & the track back to Haltwhistle via Alston viaduct.

Fine mix of landscapes. Bit of the Pennine Way on its diamond anniversary. And a near fatal stile incident to add to the excitement. Thoroughly enjoyable day out.
