Route
Start at NY783005 (nearest postcode CA17 4JU) The Thrang, pull in just off the B6259. 8.30am start. Parking is limited so please car share if possible. The pull in will accommodate roughly 6/8 cars if parked appropriately. There is a backup plan for more cars if necessary, which will involve the leaders following cars to another pull in point which is a couple of mile further back, then bringing drivers back to start. Therefore car share if you can

Walk heads W over Thrang Bridge, S to Hazelgill, then W uphill (yes its a mountain!) up to HIgh Dolphinsty & once we've gained the height a walk along the edge to "The Nab" (702) then "Wild Boar Fell" (708) for a break at the summit. Head across to Yoadscomb Scar to soak up the views across Mallerstang before we head GENTLY down via Swarth Fell & across the railway to walk adjacent with the ridge & the Nab & have a further break. This is not a hard mountain. Terrain is grassy & incline/decline is not taxing! It's 10.5mls with 2,053ft of ascent & amazing views -that's if we get the weather !!!!

General Notes
Leaders, Julie Carolan & Geoff Buckley. Walk will approximately take 6 hours
