This is a circular walk starting in Hexham & taking in Dipton Mill, Juniper, Whitley Mill & Chapel, Rawgreen, Pethfoot Bridge, Linnelswood Bridge, Dipton Wood, Dilston & back to Hexham.
A generally moderate walk with an overall elevation of around 2000 feet (610m). There is a not too onerous climb as we come out of Hexham, but any subsequent climbs will be shorter & much less onerous. The route covers a combination of farmland, riverside & wood walking, with on the whole good footpaths. But, be aware that as with most walks this of the year it could be muddy

Walk Report

Magical autumn by Paul Ashman All the autumn colours hung on the trees With hues of bronze dancing in the breeze Patchworks of blood red did carpet our way Fairies cast a spell on this glorious day Watching fleet footed deer taking in the air While a field of bullocks gave us that stare George Elliot was mentioned may his lamp shine An original group member this man of the Tyne The miles soon past as we strided on Jim Arden scrumpied apples like a boy on the run Dave Clifton ate ket from a Halloween pile He chewed for England with a lovely red smile So thank you Claudio this walks a gem Nelly bought me a shandy before we headed yem!
