Linear walk. Starting from Isaac's Well, Allendale Town. West Yorkshire & Northumbria Groups are joining forces over the weekend to complete the Isaac's Tea Trail long distance path. Hopefully we can get a good representation from both groups. This is day 1, clockwise from Allendale Town to Alston including the link to Allenheads

Isaac's Well, Allendale Town - East Allen Valley - Allenheads - Black Way to Coalcleugh - Nenthead - Nent Valley to Alston Market Cross

General Notes
This walk coincides with the 25th Anniversary of the Isaac's Tea Trail, a trail that Northumbria LDWA now helps to support. I'm setting out the walks for the 2 days. Walkers are welcome to attend either or both days. It is only January as I write this, so no doubt between now & September various plans will emerge for transport & accommodation, at this stage I'm adding this to the walks programme so that walkers are aware of the general plan. There is an excellent Isaac's Tea Trail website

Walk Report

In the end I decided not to do the Allenheads link. This would have made the walk over 25 miles, which would have led to us getting to Alston a bit late in the day, so we did the standard 17 miles Allendale Town to Alston clockwise. ( Paul Nellist)
