Route
The classic Lyke Wake Walk. 40 mile crossing of the North York Moors from Osmotherley to Ravenscar. Starting point is the Osmotherley Lyke Wake Stone at GR SE470994 ( there is a c.p, close by) & finishing at the Lyke Wake Stone on Beacon Howes at Ravenscar GR SE971012. Leader will be Geoff Buckley

West to East. This a reasonably tough walk with around 5000 feet of ascent. Starting at 10am on the Saturday we would anticipate finishing at about 2-4am on the Sunday, that is about 16-18 hours for the crossing

General Notes
The group hope to hire a bus/van to provide a mobile checkpoint along the way & to provide transport back to cars at the end of the walk. We will also obviously need a volunteer or two to drive the van/bus - please contact myself on details below if you would be prepared to do this. Anyone wishing to do the walk & especially needing to transport back to cars at the end please register once again using the details below. Because of the organisation of this walk registration is necessary. The closing date for registration is 1st May. Sunrise 4:27am, Sunset 9:49pm. It's a full moon
