The direction of the walk has been changed and now goes from Hartlepool Headland to Durham. The bus will pick us up from Durham County Hall, where free parking is available, and drop us off at Hartlepool Headland.

Park at Durham County Hall cp. GR-NZ266436; W3W-scales.acute.onions; PC-DH1 5UL A private bus will then transport us to Hartlepool Headland for the start of the walk. The cost of the bus will be met by Northumbria LDWA

This route is one of the Northern Saints Trails, which have an impressive website https://www.thisisdurham.com/northernsaints/.
This 28 mile walk is between St Hilda's church on Hartlepool Headland and Durham Cathedral following the route as defined on the Northern Saints website. The route is likely to take us about 11 hours at our usual pace of 2.5 mph

General Notes
You are of course welcome to organise your transport & just join us for the walk. However, if you plan to come on the walk & use the provided bus from Durham to Hartlepool can you please email walks.northumbria@ldwa.org.uk so that I can hire the correct size bus for the number of walkers
